The Need: Securing Educational Facilities
The Lescar City Hall (FRANCE) partnered with ae&t to implement a dedicated Intruder Alert system as part of its mandatory School Safety Plan (PPMS).
The project covers five schools—Les Prés, Victor Hugo, Laoü, Paul Fort, and the private school La Calandreta—accommodating over 450 pupils across the municipality. To ensure maximum safety, the city required a robust audible alarm system capable of providing clear instructions to staff and students in high-risk situations.
The Solution: SmartVOX® for School Safety
Scalable Deployment
ae&t designed a scalable and easy-to-deploy solution tailored to the unique layout of each school group. Following on-site acoustic audits, 18 SmartVOX® voice alarms and 30 radio remote controls were deployed.
Instant Activation & LoRa Technology
Each classroom and canteen was equipped with a remote, allowing staff to trigger an alert instantly from anywhere on the premises. The system is specifically programmed for Lockdown Alerts, broadcasting distinct tones and clear voice messages.
Using LoRa radio technology, the SmartVOX® units communicate wirelessly, eliminating the need for expensive cabling and simplifying the installation across the five different sites.
The Result: Clear and Reliable Protection
Thanks to perfect sound synchronization and high-definition voice clarity, the alerts are easily understood even by the youngest students.
The Lescar City Hall has validated the SmartVOX® solution as an effective, cost-efficient, and reliable system for school safety, ensuring the site remains compliant with the strictest protection protocols.
