The Need:
THOR SARL is a French manufacturer and international distributor of preservatives, disinfectant products, flame retardants, and other high-quality specialty chemicals for applications in markets such as cosmetics, technical textiles, and paints. Located in Salaise-sur-Sanne (38), the site covers 39,000 m2 with around 60 employees present daily.

THOR sought a new POI (Internal Operation Plan) audible and vocal alert solution to secure its site and turned to ae&t for support.

The Solution:
An on-site visit, including sound tests, was conducted to determine the number of SmartVOX® alarms required.

The installation was carried out in two phases: for the POI (Internal Operation Plan), seven SmartVOX® alarms were sufficient to effectively alert staff and visitors in case of an incident. These devices were configured by ae&t according to THOR’s four scenarios: confinement, end of confinement, test alert, and end of alert, broadcasting an alert sound followed by a voice message specifying the procedure to follow.

A few months later, two additional SmartVOX® alarms were installed outdoors for the PPI (Specific Intervention Plan) alert, equipped with a six-button control box.

Since SmartVOX® devices communicate via radio, no wiring was required between the devices. On-site commissioning was handled by ae&t.

THOR is highly satisfied with the POI (Internal Operation Plan) and PPI (Specific Intervention Plan) alert solutions provided by ae&t using SmartVOX® voice alarms, thanks to their effectiveness and adaptability according to evolving needs.
