The Need:
Planète Végétal, the leading independent French producer of carrots, is located in the heart of the pine forests of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park, in Cestas (33). As the leading independent French producer of fresh carrots, Planète Végétal grows, processes, and sells its own vegetables (carrots, leeks), with four buildings (two workshops and two administrative buildings) and cultivated fields. During peak season, over 220 employees are present on-site.

Planète Végétal sought a new POI (Internal Operation Plan) audible and vocal alert solution to secure its site and turned to ae&t for support.

The Solution:
An on-site visit, including sound tests, was conducted to determine the number of SmartVOX® alarms required. The ambient noise level, especially in the workshops, is relatively high due to the presence of various machines: washing, sorting, weighing, and packaging.

In total, 10 SmartVOX® alarms effectively alert staff and visitors in case of an incident. These devices broadcast an alert sound followed by a voice message specifying the procedure to follow. Since SmartVOX® devices communicate via radio, no wiring is required between devices, allowing Planète Végétal to handle the installation and configuration independently. The alert is triggered using emergency push buttons.
